The difference between fossil diving in the ocean vs a river is like day and night. Both videos were shot around the same time – the ocean day was on an overcast afternoon and the river video was shot on a bright and sunny day. And this is actually really good visibility for this spot. Both shots are in shallow water (ocean 30ft and river 12ft). Wanna see a magic trick?? When I first measured this tooth I accidentally measured its shorter side, which put it around 5.5". That's a big tooth and I was happy with that, but it didn't measure up to the two other sixes I found on that dive. Then when I was looking at it today I realized the other side was longer, and boom. A "perfect" 6!!
